We had the great honor of attending the 68th Assault Helicopter Reunion in Charleston, South Carolina, and showing these fine Veterans our film, Honor In the Air. It was the first time most of them watched it, though we were fortunately to interview several members at a prior reunion.
We listened to their feedback - and many, many of their stories of their time together in Vietnam. There are varied perspectives in the film, including about how the war ended and how Vets were treated when they came back. Our hope is that our documentary can be used to spark discussions among Veterans, with students, and throughout our communities, and to give this generation of Vets the recognition and honor they deserve.
Just before we left for the reunion, we learned that Honor In the Air will be shown at The Veterans Film Festival in Los Angeles. This festival will be held on November 14 and 15, and we hope to have representatives for the film in attendance.
